At the meeting, Secretary-General Li Yi delivered an enthusiastic speech, outlining the direction for the development of the potato starch processing industry. Chairman Zhou Qingfeng provided an explanation of the association’s key areas of work, while Secretary-General Gao Rui presented a detailed summary report on the association’s activities for the year 2025.



Zhang Junqi, Vice President of the Branch Association and Chairman of Beidahuang Potato Industry Group, provided an in-depth analysis of the current status and development trends of the potato starch processing industry both domestically and internationally. Wang Zhengang, Vice President of the Branch Association and Chairman of Tianshan Snow Company, focused on Xinjiang’s production areas, offering a detailed overview of local factory establishment plans and industrial development trends over the past two years. Liu ShanHong, Vice President of the Branch Association and Chairman of Sino-Food Machinery Group, shared new technologies, innovative processes, and advanced development models in the field of potato starch processing. Chang Hanyuan from the Institute of Environmental and Resource Sciences at the Beijing Academy of Sciences, a member of the Vice Presidents’ team, interpreted two group standards initiated by the China Starch Industry Association in 2025. In addition, Vice Presidents Zhu Jianxun, Ji Yongjun, Zhang Weili, and Zheng Zhimin respectively reported on the 2025 potato starch production and processing conditions as well as market trends in Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, and Shanxi provinces. At the meeting venue, the completion and confirmation of the total national potato starch processing volume for 2025 were also carried out simultaneously.

The participating delegates engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on core issues such as the industry’s development status, the challenges it faces, industry overcapacity, and the pursuit of high-quality industrial development, offering insights and suggestions to promote the healthy, sustainable, and high-quality development of China’s potato starch industry.
Meanwhile, in accordance with the association’s articles of association, the meeting unanimously approved the nomination list for the renewal of the Potato Starch Branch.
This meeting achieved the expected results and was a complete success.
